NFL Draft Diamonds yearly award winners

We would like to congratulate all the players that helped their team get to the playoffs and the guys that came up short, keep your heads up and chests out. There is aleays next year.

MVP

This might be the easiest award to give out, because Peyton Manning has dominated the NFL. Peyton manning has broke tons of records this year, and to be honest, anything short of the Super Bowl would be a disapointment.

Offensive MVP

LeSean McCoy has been a workhouse this year in Philly. For a guy that is coming off a down year, he really showed the NFL that he was back. Shady was a stud in 2013, which led his team to the playoffs.

Defensive MVP

Robert Mathis led the NFL in sacks and while he will probably be passed up for a guy like Luke Kuechly, it is more deserved. Mathis is the first person to lead the FCS in sacks as well as the NFL.

Offensive Rookie of the Year

Eddie Lacy just edges out Keenan Allen in my opinion. Both were very solid, but Allen’s production wasn’t consistent. I expect Lacy to shine in the playoffs.

Defensive Rookie of the Year

Everyone seems to lean toward Sheldon Rochardson, but I’m giving it to Kiko Alonso. His production never went down all year, as a rookie he broke Patrick Willis’ stats, with 159 tackles, 4 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 fumbles recovered.

Coach of the Year

Ron Rivera went from getting fored in week four to one hot commodity. That might be the best turn around of a team that has ever happened. He deserves this award, because his team never lost faith in him.

Comeback Player of the Year

Jason Peters came back from a rough injury and never lost a step. He regained his Pro-Bowl form. This was a big step for the Eagles because it gave Nick Foles time to throw.
