My name is Selwyn Carrol Jr.

I am currently 6’2 250 lbs

DE

Where do you play college football?

Valdosta State University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Off the field I have participated in multiple volunteer opportunities but the one that stuck out the most was giving the kids in the Valdosta Georgia community a chance to see what being a college football player is bout when we had the kids come out and join us after our fall camp scrimmage.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

The hardest class I had to take in college has to be Anatomy & Physiology which I did pass.

Where are you from?

I’m from Jacksonville Florida.

Who is your role model, and why?

My role model is my Grandfather because he taught me how to work hard and be patient as well as have faith in God.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Growing up I played Basketball, Baseball, and Ran Track & Field.

Did you play any other positions in football?

In high school I played End, DT, OLB, TE, FB, and G.

At your position, what separates you from others?

At my position I am versatile and I can play in many different defensive schemes as well as play the run and pass well.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

When breaking down film I look for tendencies in the offense such as lineman splits and stances. I look at different formations and running back depth as well as QB drops and pass protections.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

The toughest player I have ever played in high school was Derrick Henry, in college was Laremy Tunsil.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

I would compare myself to Terrell Suggs because I have the balanced combination of speed and power and I am aggressive like him.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Pre Game Rituals is to Pray and relax.

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

As a former D1 player transitioning to D2 the biggest obstacles I face is proving that I can play with anybody on the field.

What is your biggest strength?

My biggest strength is being a team leader

What is your biggest weakness?

My biggest weakness is being too emotional about the game.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I would say that I am an Investment that is priceless to the organization and a needed player on the roster as a leader.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

My favorite NFL team growing up was the Jacksonville Jaguars and my Favorite player is Sean Taylor.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

If I could have dinner with three people it would be Barrack Obama, My Momma, and the GM of a team that decides to Draft me.

With your first NFL paycheck what would you buy?

Probably good insurance for my family and Food.
