Minnesota Vikings sign CFL standout linebacker today
The Vikings announced the signing of linebacker Simoni Lawrence on Tuesday. The 25-year-old Lawrence played for the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2013, notching 52 tackles and intercepting three passes.
Lawrence (6-1, 228) has had NFL stints with the Buccaneers, Bears, Eagles and Rams. He originally signed with St. Louis in 2010 after two seasons with the Golden Gophers (2008-2009).
Simoni Lawrence is a University of Minnesota prospect who will finally get a shot to play in front of some of his former Alum.
