Jaguars claim LB Allen Bradford from the Giants

The Jacksonville Jaguars today were awarded third-year linebacker Allen Bradford off waivers from the New York Giants.   The Jaguars have the league limit of 90 players.

Bradford, 5-11, 235, was originally a sixth-round draft pick of Tampa Bay in 2011 as a running back and has also spent time with Seattle.  He played in one game as a rookie with the Buccaneers before he was waived on Oct. 11, 2011 and claimed by the Seahawks as a running back.  He was released two days later and signed as a linebacker to the team’s practice squad where he finished the season.

Bradford spent the majority of the 2012 season on the Seahawks practice squad where he played under Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley.
