It’s Official: The Steelers will face Matt Cassell this week in London

After being booed off the field last week, Christian Ponder is not ready to start this week’s game due to a rib injury.  He stated earlier this week that he was afraid of contact and that he didn’t want the injury any worse than what it was.  Well because of that the Vikings are going to start Matt Cassell against the 0-3 Steelers.

Cassel signed a two-year contract this offseason. He started 62 games over a nine-year career, most notably helping the New England Patriots to an 11-5 record in 2008 after Tom Brady injured his knee in the season opener. Cassel went to the Pro Bowl in 2010 after a 27-touchdown season with theKansas City Chiefs, but has been pedestrian at best the last two seasons.

I have a feeling that Cassell is not going to be any better, so expect the Steelers to dial up blitz packages all day on them.  Cassell makes too many mistakes, the Steelers should get their first win this week.
