Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy has Pro-Bowl potential

Over the past several years, Alabama has had running back after running back going to the NFL, but are any as talented as Eddie Lacy?  The Green Bay Packers were patiently waiting for their running back and made one of the biggest steals in the draft, when they selected the “Bama BigMan”.  With the 61st pick the Packers, didn’t shock anyone with their selection because to be honest he was the best player left on the board after the 30th pick in the draft.  Eddie Lacy is a man on the football field and I expect a huge season for the Packer back.

When the Green Bay Packers released their initial depth chart this summer, Florida native DuJuan Harris, the team’s late-season savior in 2012, was listed as the No. 1 running back even though he hadn’t practiced due to a knee injury. Well things are changing in Green Bay. Right now the fans in Green Bay need to be on board the Lacy Train. Eddie Lacy is going to be a guy that takes this team to higher levels.  Last year the Packers turned a very veteran back in Cedric Benson into a top tier running back for the first five games or so. Lacy is a bigger, faster, younger version of Benson. The Packers will always keep quite a bit of depth at the position, but it looks like both James Starks and Alex Green are fighting to keep a job, and Dujuan Harris and other draft pick Jonathan Franklin have been pretty impressive.

If the Packers can get what the Crimson Tide was able to get out of Lacy, they will be a better team than they were last year.  I can promise you a playoff birth for the Packers especially with Lacy as the starting running back.  Teams are going to beat their heads against the wall when they realize they passed on such a great prospect.  Lacy is due for a huge season (If his hand holds up).

This week when you are drafting for you fantasy football team, take Lacy in the mid rounds, it will pay off the same way Alfred Morris paid off for me, I promise.
