Green Bay Packers need to start searching for safeties in 2014

The Green Bay Packers cornerbacks were pretty solid this year, and even though the team was without Casey Hayward they were still able to do a good enough job to get their team in the playoffs. One position that really needs to be addressed in the NFL draft next season is the fact that the Packers suffered horribly from the safety play.  The Packers safeties in 2013 played a combined 2,355 snaps (to include the playoffs) and registered 0 interceptions, 4 tackles for loss, zero forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries according to Zach Kruse of Bleacher Report.

Morgan Burnett had a rough season, and the Packers really need to address the safety position.  They could go after Jairus Byrd if he is not tagged, but could you imagine if the Packers could somehow land both Byrd and TJ Ward?  Both were teammates at Oregon and both made the Pro-Bowl this year.  I don’t know if the Packers will have the space, but they definitely need help in their secondary.
