Should the Green Bay Packers draft a Quarterback early?

The Green Bay Packers are known to draft the best available player, and they know what they are looking for when selecting a player. Whether you like it or not, the Packers understand the game.  Last year the Packers were scrambling for a quarterback after Aaron Rodgers went down to an injury that cost him to miss almost half the season.  The Packers went from back up to back up, from Scott Tolzien to Seneca Wallace.  Shoot, they even brought back Matt Flynn who won them a huge game which ultimately boosted them to the playoffs.  Well with the reports that came out a few days ago, saying the New York Giants have shown interest in Matt Flynn, will the Packers gamble again?

Will the Green Bay Packers open the season without a true back-up on their roster or will they look to add a quarterback during the draft?  While many people have the packers taking the best available player in the draft, what happens if a guy like Teddy Bridgewater or Derek Carr are sitting there when the Packers select at 21?  Do they draft C.J. Mosley if he is there?  Or do they take the best available player?

Could you imagine a quarterback like Teddy Bridgewater or Derek Carr falling to number 21 and the Packers selecting them?  It would remind you of the 2005 NFL Draft, when the team selected Aaron Rodgers a quarterback from Cal when they had Brett Favre coming off one of his best seasons.  While people will criticize me for this comment, what if the best player available in the draft just so happens to be a quarterback?  Do you draft him and mold him behind one of the best quarterbacks in the league or do you continue to pass on one, and when your quarterback gets injured again you scramble for a bum?

I don’t know about you, but if I am the Packers and a solid quarterback fall to me at 21, I take him.  Regardless of need, if Rodgers does get injured again, they cannot go on with Scott Tolzien, Seneca Wallace or Matt Flynn.
