The blue and green socks, featuring a silhouette of the Seattle skyline, are from local company Strideline. Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch also wore the socks during a game last season.
The socks Tate wore are called “SeaTown Hawks,” yet there are additional color combinations reminiscent of the Seattle Sonics, Sounders FC, the Washington Huskies … and combinations like pink-and-yellow that have nothing to do with local sports teams.
Strideline was founded in 2009 by two high-schoolers in their senior year. Riley Goodman and Jake Director took $700 in graduation money to start the company, and have continued to build it as they study business at the University of Washington.Do you follow the NFL Draft?
