Former NFL stars will play 9/11 responders to raise awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project
The Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team will be hosting a charity flag football game featuring legends from the NFL and 9/11 first responders from New York and New Jersey on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 6 p.m. at Essex County Codey Arena in the South Mountain Recreation Complex in West Orange.
Vince Papale, Eagles Special Team’s Captain will be one of the people responsible for getting the players together.
The game is being played to raise awareness and support for military servicemen and women who lost a limb while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan, as well as 9/11 first responders and their families.
