Falcons release LB Pat Angerer; More cuts to come

falconsThe Atlanta Falcons were hoping that Pat Angerer would be the guy that comes in and replaces Sean Witherspoon, but that did not happen. Today, en route to 53 the Falcons released Pat Angerer.

Falcons also cut Yawin Smallwood their seventh round draft pick according to Ian Rapoport. Vaughn McClure is reporting that RB Josh Vaughan has been released. The team also released veteran lineman Pat McQuistan. 

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have waived defensive end Nosa Eguae, fullback Maurice Hagens, cornerback Jordan Mabin, wide receiver Freddie Martino, safety Kimario McFadden, tight end Jacob Pedersen, offensive lineman Adam Replogle, defensive tackle Donte Rumph, linebacker Yawin Smallwood. The club also released linebacker Pat Angerer, offensive tackle Pat McQuistan, and running back Josh Vaughan.
