What is your name?

Ethan Cooper

What is your Height/Weight?

I’m 6’4, 325 pounds

What is your position?

I play Guard as well as Tackle

Where do you play college football?

Indiana University of Pennsylvania

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Every year we go to the local elementary schools on Read Across America Day and read to the kids and they’re always excited to see us come in and interact with them.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Accounting

Where are you from?

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Who is your role model, and why?

My role model is my grandfather because he’s always had my back and he’s just always carried himself like a man should and takes care of his family and I hope to be like the man he is.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Growing up I played basketball, baseball, and in HS I did Track and Field

Did you play any other positions in football?

In college I’ve played ever OL position except Center and in HS I’ve played every OL and DL position.

At your position, what separates you from others?

My tenacity and refusal to be beat and accept failure

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look for stance/alignment, LB position and blitz coming off of that. I also look at the safety structure and corner position in case of boundary and field blitzes

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Karon Gibson who also played here. His motor was ridiculous and his technique was flawless.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

I would say Jason Peters because of how naturally athletic we are and his footwork is incredible and you can tell he’s a general on the field and that’s what I strive

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I always listen to the Friday Night Lights movie soundtrack and just visualize dominating the opponent lining up across from me every play.

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

I feel the biggest obstacle is just getting your name out there and getting people to understand that you are a real ball player. People tend to automatically assume because you play at D2 that the competition isn’t as good and that you’re not as dominating a player as you really are.

What is your biggest strength?

Body quickness and point of attack off the ball

What is your biggest weakness?

Over critical of myself and mistakes I make

I’m a humble hardworking player that’s gonna do as told and be the most physical individual possible and refuse to be outworked

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Growing up my favorite player was Mike Vick and my favorite NFL team is the Philadelphia Eagles

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, and Kobe Bryant. The mentality they had in their sports and refusal to not be the best is what I try to emulate

With your first NFL paycheck what would you buy?

I would put a down payment on a nice house for myself and make sure my family is taken care of and save the rest
