How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

There were no teams recruiting me out of high school so I decided to walk on at the University of Utah because it was close to home and I figured if I was gonna walk on at a school, I should walk on to a big University. I couldn’t afford school so after a red shirt year and on the travel squad for a year, I transferred to Southern Utah University.

What were your goals for your senior year?

My goal for my senior year was to treat every game like a championship game and to play like it was my last.

At your position, what separates you from the others?

At my position the one thing I feel that separates me is my attention to detail. I have played longer than many guys who are more talented than me but because of my work ethic and attention to detail

Tell us what you look for when breaking down film?

I have been fortunate enough to be playing football for as long as I have. When breaking down film I try to find tendencies from corners and safeties to even backers. Tendencies range anywhere from alignment or stance, to personal against certain formations and pre snap movement.

Who was the toughest player you have ever faced?

The toughest player I’ve gone up against was the corner from Utah state which was the fastest and most physical DB I have played against.

If you could compare your play to one person in the NFL who would it be?

I like to think that I see a lot of who I wanna be in the receiver Wes Welker. He does not have that Desean Jackson speed or the Calvin Johnson size, but he makes plays. I’ve never been that “home-run” receiver, but I know I can make catches through traffic to move the chains.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

A big obstacle I’ve had to over come was the death of my niece at a very young age. Being at college away from family I felt so useless, but my family is the reason I have been able to over come the situation and it has made us all stronger people.

What system fits your style of play the best?

Because I am not afraid to work hard I would never limit myself to a certain system in the NFL and so I know I could be of great worth to any system who would allow my work to be an asset to any offense.

What is your biggest strength?

Again my biggest strength is my ability to work hard.

What is your biggest weakness?

My weakness would be that I have never played at the NFL level

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

If I were to sell myself I would explain that many people have been blessed with talent but no work ethic to utilize the gifts from god. So many people rely too much on the talent they have been given at birth, but talent now days are a dime a dozen.  Talent cannot be taught, but neither can hard work. Without work the talent cannot possibly improve. My game has spoken for itself that I have been fortunate enough to have talents others don’t, but more so the ability to out work competition. I have seen and played against men that were much more gifted than I but they didn’t know how to work. Because I am not afraid of the grind, I still have an opportunity to do what most only wish. All I need is a chance to prove my self worth.

Growing up, who was your role model?

My role model has and always will be my Father.

Who was your favorite team and player in the NFL and why?

I was born and raised in Utah so I have never really had a team to cheer for but my family is from San Francisco so I do pay a little more attention to the 49ers than others. My favorite player would be Steve Smith. Besides the fact that he does not back down to any player and has an intimidating attitude, he has to be the best player pound for pound in the NFL today.

If you were to have dinner with three people dead or alive who would it be?

If I had to pick 3 people to have dinner with dead or alive I would choose my wife, my dad, and my brother who are all alive and have done the most for me.

With your first paycheck what would you buy?

With my first paycheck I would celebrate by having dinner with my parents, brothers and sisters, and my wife and kid. The only people I trust regardless of my bank account.
