How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

I believe around 10-15 teams were recruiting me out of high school.

Where did you choose and why?

I chose New Mexico State University because my high school coach Barris Grant was now the linebacker coach at NMSU and at that time I played linebacker and we ran the exact same defense as I played in HS so I was familiar with it.

What were your goals for your senior year?

Win the championship, make every block, execute, make plays and dominate on special teams.

Have any scouts met with you, and if so what are they saying?

Yes, I met with a couple of scouts and they were telling me that they like my versatility and how I move for my size and I also worked out for a few.

At your position, what separates you from the others?

My versatility, my speed/quickness. I can be a third down back.

Tell us what you look for when breaking down film?

Tendencies for the most part. That makes the game easier. If you know what your opponent is going to do before they do it, then half of the battle is won already.

Who was the toughest player you have ever faced?

I would have to say Eugene Monroe (Baltimore Ravens) my freshman year in HS, his senior year.

If you could compare your play to one person in the NFL who would it be?

Anthony Dixon (Bills) fullback.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Losing my scholarship at The University of Massachusetts and I overcame it by deciding to go to a small school to humble myself, focus on my academics and made my mind up to be the best student-athlete that I can possibly be.

What system fits your style of play the best?

A system that uses a full back or H-back, I also have experience at playing line backer so any system, I’ll make my self fit into the system.

What is your biggest strength?

My Versatility

What is your biggest weakness?

I would say my size, I’m a few pounds less than your average fullback but then again I’m not your average fullback, I’m a lot more versatile than your average fullback.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I will play for free my first year. Just give me a chance.

Growing up, who was your role model?

My dad, hardest working man I know and I never heard him make an excuse no matter what the situation was.

Who was your favorite team and player in the NFL and why?

Cowboys and Emmitt Smith because cowboy fans run in the family.

If you were to have dinner with three people dead or alive who would it be?

My grandmother (my dad’s mom), Ray Lewis and the GM that’s going to draft me in the 2014 NFL draft.

With your first paycheck what would you buy?

Nothing, I’m going to put it in the bank. I may buy something with the second one.
