Dolphins newest acquisition Michael Thomas comes up big in win over New England

Just last week Michael Thomas was sitting on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad.  He was signed onto the Dolphins 53 man roster and boy what a breathe of fresh air he was.

Thomas broke up a would-be touchdown pass from Tom Brady to Danny Amendola late in the fourth quarter. Then when the Patriots made a final push in the fourth quarter, Tom Brady’s fourth-down throw on the game’s final play was intercepted by Thomas.

Thomas was a former teammate of Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks at Stanford University.

The Dolphins improved to 8-6 with the win. The Patriots fell to 10-4.
