We already know Walter Payton was an amazing running back, but did you know he threw 8 touchdown passes?
Payton three 8 TD passes. The 9 time Pro Bowler connected for 8 TD passes in his amazing career. The running back known simply as “Sweetness” was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1993.
Over the course of his career he managed to throw 34 passes. 8 of which we know went for TDs, 11 of which were intercepted, and the remaining 15 fell incomplete.
I guess he wasn’t the best quarterback, but he will still be remembered for how great of a runner he was.
