Detroit Lions claim former Saints safety off the waivers

Today the Lions were awarded former Saints safety Isa Abdul-Quddus on waivers, the NFL disclosed in its transactions on Monday.

The Saints waived Abdul-Quddus on January 7. In 11 regular-games with New Orleans in 2013, the 24-year-old Abdul-Quddus notched 13 tackles and defended one pass.

In three NFL seasons, Abdul-Quddus (6-1, 205) has appeared in 42 regular-season games, recording 74 tackles and intercepting two passes.
