DeAndre Levy deserves to be in the Pro Bowl for the Lions

Earlier this year I wrote off the Detroit Lions linebackers saying they were horrible.  I have to eat crow, because there is one player on their team that deserves tons of credit.  That is DeAndre Levy!!

Levy played college football at Wisconsin from 2005 to 2008. He finished his career with 211 tackles, 21 sacks, two interceptions, six forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries and a blocked kick. Levy was named second-team All-Big Ten in 2007. In 2008 he earned honorable mention All-Big Ten, and was also awarded the team’s Tom Wiesner Award, given to a senior football player who most exemplifies the leadership and courage. In addition to twice winning the Big 10 Player of the Week, in 2008.

Levy has been amazing this year racking up 69 tackles and a lead leading 5 interceptions.  This is a linebacker folks.

The sad thing is while many will vote linebackers to the Pro Bowl because of their names, this kid deserves to be there because of his play. He has been amazing. I am super impressed and apologize for the rude comments at the beginning of the year.  He has made me become a believer in the Lions linebackers.
