Dallas Cowboys are not likely to use their franchise tag, but want Anthony Spencer back

While the Dallas Cowboys are undergoing evaluations to their 2014 roster and Stephen Jones stated that he feels the team will not use the franchise tag, but the team does want Anthony Spencer, back to the team.

“Anthony has been an unbelievable player for us,” said Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones, who said the Cowboys are open to bringing Spencer back. “Very unfortunate what happened to him last year but very productive. Obviously a guy we think a lot of. We franchised him last year, of course, injuries happen in our game. But he’s the type of player you want on your team. We got our fingers crossed and I know he does too on that his injury comes along in the proper way.”

Maybe Spencer will be brought back on a one year contract, due to his injury, but that is if Spencer wants to remain a Cowboy.  Spencer might want to test free agency.  I personally feel that he would be crazy to try to leave.
