Could Cleveland Browns go after Josh McCown?

I know many of the Browns fans will not like this idea, but at the end of the day the 2014 NFL Draft quarterbacks are not that special in my opinion.  If Teddy Bridgewater and Johnny Manziel are taking in the top 3, that leaves Blake Bortles on the clock. I am not sure he is the best option for the Cleveland Browns, and that leads me to this next assumption.  Could the Browns target a guy like Josh McCown who tore it up last year for the Chicago Bears in replacement duty for Jay Cutler?  It could definitely be an option, today Adam Schefter reported the team is unlikely to re-sign McCown.  McCown himself took it hard saying:

“It’s hard to want to be anywhere else. But the balance of that, too, is our reality. This is probably going to be the last time I stand in free agency with this kind of leverage. So there’s an understanding of an opportunity here to gain some more resources both to take care of our family and to do more good with,” McCown said, via Dan Wierderer of the Chicago Tribune. “I have to be willing to go somewhere else, if that’s how it breaks.”

This could be a pretty viable option for the Browns if you consider the talent in the Browns locker room. If the team can take the best player available at 4 and turn their 28th pick into a big target for McCown it would be no different than having Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall in Cleveland for McCown.  McCown would actually have Josh Gordon a big receiver such as Kelvin Benjamin and Jordan Cameron.  The Browns could draft a running back in early round two and call it a day.  The team would be a very solid team.
