Cierre Wood and Sam Montgomery have both passed drug tests

Former Houston Texans running back Cierre Wood is now cleared of the allegations that ESPN sources claimed last week of him smoking marijuana.

Per Mike Garofalo, Wood coordinated the test with the NFL Players Association and took it last Monday — the same day he and linebacker Willie Jefferson and defensive end Sam Montgomery were cut. The test results, which came back this week, were negative for marijuana, the source said.

Montgomery was already cleared of all allegations as well. All three had workouts this week, both Wood and Jefferson went to Jacksonville Jaguars for a work out and Montgomery went to Oakland. None were signed but it is looking more and more like their story of a cigar is true.

If Willie Jefferson is cleared by the NFLPA as well, will their names finally be cleared? They should be….
