Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

I was a Peer Counselor and Peer Mentor for my University Student Success Program helping freshman or 1st year students get through college teaching them ASL, time management skills, how to handle school and sports all in one, helping them with personal situations to get them through their first year and being like a big brother for them on campus.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Accounting

Where are you from?

Born In GA Raised in VA

Who is your role model, and why?

My role model is Kam Chancellor because of the way he plays the game of football, hard-hitting and his energy he gives on the field. Also how he carry himself off the field and where from the same area (757) , so see him make it from our area is a big deal for athletes like me.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball

Did you play any other positions in football?

QB and Outside LB in High School and Outside LB and some CB in college and all special teams also KR

At your position, what separates you from others?

I can identify route combination quickly , Hard-hitting, and can make a play on the ball whenever thrown my way.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

All different offense formations my opponent runs, plays they run out of certain formations , Down and distance what type of plays they run on 1st,2nd, and 3rd down, route combinations, and QB tendencies.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

John Smith

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Kam Chancellor, because I can be both a big help in the run game with my size and also help in the passing game as well because of my quickness, Kam he has a size of LB and plays safety.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Going to the only deaf and hard of hearing university in the world which required you to only communicate in ASL (American Sign Language).  I never learned until I got to the university. I had deaf roommates and teammates that I had to learn sign language to communicate with them and as well as play on the field with them to lead. Now I’m fluent in ASL in just 4 years.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Listening to my Dad voicemails of him before going out , because my dad was in prison for 7 years, and when he called me I was usually sleep so he would just leave a voicemails praying over me and expressing how much he misses me.  So when I go out on the field I know who I’m playing for . Our Last Name.  

What is your biggest strength?

My leadership skills and understand people’s perspectives

What is your biggest weakness?

Saying “yes” to anybody and everybody that ask me for something , even when I really don’t want to I’ll still end up saying yes.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I will be one of the hardest working athletes on the field no matter what division I came from I will compete at the highest level possible and will not be out worked and will conduct myself as a professional on and off the field.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Tom Brady and Patriots.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Floyd Mayweather, Abraham Lincoln, and Martin Luther King Jr

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

Give my mother enough money to start-up her own business that she always wanted, and give back to the Deaf Community.
