Bengals claim gunslinger Matt Scott off waivers

The Bengals today acquired QB Matt Scott on waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Scott (6-3, 212; University of Arizona) is a first-year NFL player. He spent his rookie 2013 season on the Jacksonville practice squad. He signed with Jacksonville last May as a college free agent, and in preseason with the Jaguars, he completed 18 of 40 passes for 170 yards with no TDs and one INT.

I love this pick-up, Matt Scott is a very good player, and will now be fighting for a roster spot in Cincy with A.J. McCarron.
