Andy Kwon

What is your Height/Weight?

6’2″ 305lbs

What is your position?

Center

Where do you play college football?

Georgia Southern University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Being able to serve the community through community service. It’s all about giving back to the university and the people who support our university. 

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Any class involved with Biology

Where are you from?

Seoul, South Korea

Who is your role model, and why?

My parents. They have done so much for me by helping me become the best young man I can be. 

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball, baseball, and soccer. 

Did you play any other positions in football?

I only played Center in college but I can always play the Guard position. 

At your position, what separates you from others?

My knowledge of the game. Understanding what the defense is trying to do has helped me become the player I am. 

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look for defensive alignments based on the formations we have. I also like to look at the LB alignment as well as the Safety alignments because it gives away the type of blitz or DL slants they are going to give away.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

DJ Jones from Ole Miss and Chris Mayes from UGA

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

AQ Shipley and Jeff Saturday

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Just being undersized in the OL position. The reason why I was able to earn a lot of accolades in my career was because I was a coachable football player and also I had a very good understanding of defensive schemes. 

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I like to listen to my music and look at social media. 

What is your biggest strength?

My understanding of what the defense is trying to do against the offense. Just being a smart football player. I am also a technician at my position.

What is your biggest weakness?

Length

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?  

I would be a great asset to any team because of my intelligence and my mindset of wanting to work hard in the little things I do. I am very consistent in everything I do in my life, and I get have an opportunity to become one of the few Asian football players in the NFL.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Atlanta Falcons/ Michael Vick

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

The man upstairs, Coach Erk Russell, and Jeff Saturday

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

A big steak
