  • Name: Peter Skoronski
  • College: Northwestern
  • Height: 6’4
  • Weight: 315
  • Position: OT
  • Exposures: Penn State, Wisconsin, Duke

Summary: Junior.  LT starter.  Sturdy, barrel-chested OT.  Good run blocking skills but average in pass protection, where he can improve the most.  Effective run blocker who runs his feet on contact.  Can move and run.  Can pull and block in space.  Very instinctive player who reads and reacts to twists/stunts.  Has a quick first step and good leg drive on contact.  Good forward push around the goal line.  In pass protection, he is average.  Plays with a good and wide base.  Can get dented and knocked back yet has the raw strength to recover and stay on his feet.  Can mirror edge rushers and does a good job of keeping them between his feet.  Needs to work on latching onto 2nd level defenders and driving them off the ball.  Hand placement is very streaky, often outside the pads, which causes him to get turned instead of staying square to defenders.  Needs to be a better finisher; will at times allow his defender in on the play instead of working to the whistle.

Power Statement: If he can improve in pass protection especially regarding hand placement, Peter has a chance to be a quality NFL starter.  He is a very effective run blocker with good feet and raw play strength.
