What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I decided I wanted to be a football player when I was in middle school around 7th grade I always watched football all throughout my childhood and once I noticed that I could play the sport I fell in love with playing football.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

To become the best player that I can possibly be with hard work and consistency once I realized that I could play on a elite level with other great players I wanted to pursue a career on any professional level.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I’ll say either Jamal Adams or Derwin James because I try to have a similar play style as them both with how they attack the ball and get to the ball with a relentless effort and their physicality on contact I’ve been a fan of them both since they were in college.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Just being able to play on a big stage and enjoy every moment on the field with my teammates and not take any opportunity for granted just like the excitement and joy of making plays with my teammates.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

I’ll say my parents inspire me the most because they always push me to be a better person and taught me to never get down on myself so easily and taught me that no matter how hard things get do not give up so easily.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

I would say the 3-4 defense because it can cause confusion for offenses that could lead into missed block assignments by the offense. Another reason I like the 3-4 scheme is because it is a good run stop defense as well with having lanes to come down and fill as a safety or any position in the secondary.

What should we know about Jonathan Haynes the person?

I am a humble person, I’m a very hard worker always pushing myself and others to get better always trying to become a better version of myself.

What stands out about your film the most?

I’ll say my effort to get to the ball or ball carrier, my physicality on contact, and my ability to be a very aggressive tackler.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I handle challenges by not giving up so easily knowing that adversity can happen at any point of time just the matter of fact how you approach adversity I always try to have a strong mind and heart no matter how hard things get I do not let it break me I just keep pushing forward.

What would a team get in a player like you?

They will get a very hard worker who loves the game of football who pushes himself to be the best player that I can be who also encourages his teammates to be the best version of themselves I will bring laughter and happiness around the players they will also get physicality out of me as well as bring energy to a team as well.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

That it brings different people from different backgrounds closer together to form a brotherhood between each player. I also love the feeling of stepping on the field knowing that I’m about to along side my teammates. I am also a competitor so I always like the feeling of competition to show I will not back down from competition and that’s why I love the game of football because I can compete with other good players and won’t back down because although some players make the game looks easy it takes hard work to reach the level any player wants.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

To be honest I’ll say myself because I just feel like I didn’t really have the recognition as other players but I could play with the best of them I just feel like I had to work harder than everybody else around me and I’m still pushing myself to be the best that I can be now.
