NFL Trade Rumors: Trey Lance clears up the Tennessee Titans Rumors

Right when Ran Carthon was hired by the Tennessee Titans Trey Lance went to Instagram to put three finger crossed emojis under the photo.

This drew a ton of attention, and everyone began speculating if Trey Lance could be the future quarterback of the Tennessee Titans.

Yesterday, Trey Lance went on “The Q with Quincy Avery” live stream and cleared up the rumors about the Tennessee Titans.

“Me and Ran got close,” Lance said during an interview on “The Q with Quincy Avery” live stream. “He’d bring his boys in, and I’d talk to his kids. For me, that was huge. It was like a shining light. Just getting to know someone’s family like that. I was super happy for him.

“The fingers crossed emoji wasn’t like ‘cross my fingers emoji, I want to be a Tennessee Titan.’ I love it here. I don’t want to be anywhere else. That’s my No. 1 used emoji too.”

The problem is Trey Lance could still very well get dealt. The number 3 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft has not really panned out when the 49ers seem to have struck Gold with their last pick in the draft by selecting Brock Purdy.

Right now the 49ers have to make a decision, they can actually afford to keep Trey Lance on the bench and pay him and start Brock Purdy, and they may do that. You can never have enough solid quarterbacks on your team, but if the Titans were to offer up a nice package to land Trey Lance, why wouldn’t the 49ers trade him?

The 49ers gave up the future to land him and he has not panned out. I think overall the Trey Lance saga is not over, I would not rule out the Titans as a possibility, but for now it seems to just be a rumor.
