Talk about your experience as a student. What is your major/minor? Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?
I was at SAU for five and a half years getting a degree in criminal justice as well as part of my masters in public administration. I worked at our university’s rec center and played on several intramural teams.

What do your teammates say is your best quality?
Hard work and commitment to getting better every day.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
I can see myself playing inside or outside and being a reliable receiver that makes plays when they are needed.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?
Corey Batie, Harding cornerback. He brought out the best of me as a player and helped me in my development by exposing some of my weaknesses.

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?
Jariq Scales. He was a walk-on and as a redshirt freshman he broke the single season rushing record at our university. He is probably the most athletic person I’ve played with and also a great teammate.

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.
My last 3 years in college we had 3 different head coaches. That was definitely a struggle with so much turn around and everything seems like it keeps restarting right when you’re getting somewhere.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
Although I’m not very good at it, I really like golf.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement so far?
Getting out on an All-American team after my junior year in 2021. I’ve been playing this game for a long time and after all the work and development that was put in, that is something I’m proud of.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.
In 2019 versus East Central, we were down by 10 at the start of the fourth quarter. We had been struggling to move the ball all game, and I had just muffed a punt. The next offensive play I ran a post from the slot and scored from 67 yards out. It got the ball rolling and we ended up winning.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
Jordy Nelson is someone I enjoy watching film on who I play similar to. Also, Mike Evans going back to his days at A&M. Both of those guys have helped me develop by watching how they find success on the field.

Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?
I’m not one to get pumped up before games. I’ve found that I perform best when I’m calm and focused before games, usually just listening to some Riley Green.

What is your favorite comfort food?
Just a nice chicken and rice bowl. What I eat is simple and consistent, and doesn’t change much on a daily basis.

Do you have a favorite movie, TV show or actor?
My favorite TV show would have to be the office. My favorite actor is Vince Vaughn when he is in a comedy, not a serious role.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Any secret talents?
Besides working out, I like to hunt. Haven’t been able to do it as much recently but I grew up around it and really enjoy it.

Why do you play football? Who or what motivates you the most?
I have an older brother that I look up to a lot and have always competed with, after watching him play lead me to my first love for the game.
