What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I decided I wanted to be a football player at a young age running around competing with my friends. The game and running back position came naturally and as years went on I developed love for the grind to get better.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moments from football would be when I first scored a touchdown to moments where I led the country in rushing.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I’m looking forward to learning from the vets and professionals as well as compete and showcase my skill set and dedication to the game.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

If I could hang out with one football player it would be Adrian Peterson or LaDainian Tomlinson, two of my favorite backs growing up. I’d love to just pick their brain and watch some film.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most?

My parents inspire me the most. They instilled hard work in me at a young age and are great role models.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

My favorite offense scheme would be a simple zone run. It gives me multiple options as a runner rather I press the hole and bang it or press and bend or press and bounce. Depending on how the down lineman and linebackers flow I can manipulate the run by pressing to make them commit and make an explosive play.

What should we know about Lew Nichols III the person?

I am a selfless individual who is attention to detail. Humble, hard worker that strives to get better each day and each rep as well as being loved heavily by my peers. Big on being involved in the community. Always looking to help.

What stands out about your film the most?

My patience, vision, first three steps are explosive, good feet, and soft hands. My ability to make plays carry after carry. As well as being a natural runner who sets up and reads blocks well. Someone who breaks tackles with a variety of moves including jumps cuts, stiff arms or running through defenders and has a nose for the end zone.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I like to embrace challenges. I believe challenges are an opportunity to grow and learn. When faced with a challenge, my competitive nature kicks in, and I start looking forways to improve.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team will be getting a leader first on and off the field, team-first mentality (willing to play special teams or whatever to get the job done), a winner who doesn’t let the moment get too big. Poised and confident.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Kalil Pimpleton is one of the most underrated players I’ve played with. One of the most dedicated players I’ve been around and has a natural talent to make plays with or without the ball.
