Brock Purdy suffered a torn UCL in this throwing elbow and will undergo surgery. George Kittle feels Purdy did enough to take over the starting job for good.

George Kittle the starting tight end of San Francisco 49ers recently sat down with Von Miller to talk about the Niners situation at quarterback. While Kittle did say he felt Trey Lance has not really been given a true opportunity to shine, he feels Brock Purdy should be in the driver’s seat.

He’s fantastic. Our offense operated at its highest it’s probably been since 2019. In my opinion, it’s Brock’s job to lose. But there will be competition since Brock is out until training camp due to surgery.— George Kittle, via The Von Cast

I personally agree with Kittle, but feel Trey Lance has some big time trade value. The Niners should find a way to trade the former North Dakota State Bison QB. I mean there are teams out there who could use his talents. I would not be shocked if the Vikings would have interest. I think Trey Lance returning home could be a solid move for the Vikings.
