What is your major/minor? Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?
My major is social studies education with a business minor. I currently participate as a leader for Duluth’s campus Athletes in Action ministry.

What do your teammates say is your best quality?
My teammates say my best quality is my drive and focus, my relentless pursuit to be the best player I can be.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
I see myself as a hybrid guy on my team fluctuating between being on the line as a true stand up OLB or a backed up OLB playing in more space. My best fit is at outside linebacker on the line or backed up as an inside backer.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?
From recent memory I would say Nate Gunn is the best player I’ve played against, he was a running back for Minnesota State Mankato.

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?
Brent Lang is a teammate that impresses me the most, his change of direction and power at offensive tackle is impressive and pushes me to be my best self on the field.

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.
When I realized my time at South Dakota was coming to an end and I had failed at accomplishing my dreams at the division one level it made me question everything I had done to get there and put me into a terrible mental state. But through dedicated work and staying focused I was able to regain my confidence and transfer to Duluth and become the player I am today which is the best version of myself and the most well rounded player I’ve ever been.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
I would drop weight and pursue sprinting events in track and field if I wasn’t playing football.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?
Playing division one football is one thing that I’m extremely proud of, the time I spent at USD created the most growth in me and I’ll forever be proud of going there.

One of my biggest achievements is transferring to Duluth and starting in my first season and being an All-Conference player.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.
One of the most memorable plays of my collegiate career was when I got one of my first sacks that came against Youngstown State my freshman year at The University of South Dakota and we ended up beating them when they were ranked #3 in the nation.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
My favorite professional team is the Green Bay Packers. I try to model my game after Ben Boulware who played linebacker at Clemson, his physicality and passion is inspiring and he matches my physical attributes so it’s a play style I can study and match.

Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?
I’m a big country music guy so I’d say Luke Combs is my favorite music artist. Any type of rock/rap/techno music gets me pumped up for games.

What is your favorite comfort food?
My favorite comfort food is either my mom’s homemade chicken pot pie or her tuna casserole.

Do you have a favorite movie or actor?
Favorite movie is Rocky 4, and my favorite actor is Denzel Washington.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Any secret talents?
I enjoy doing anything in the water whether it be boating or swimming, I also really like to read and hang out with the fellas.

Who or what motivates you the most?
My family is who motivates me the most. People speculating and doubting me is what my biggest motivation to succeed is.
