Former Charlotte star quarterback Andrew Rawls died in a freak skydiving accident

Andrew Rawls played Quarterback on the 2002 Independence High School Football team which went on to become the State Champions in North Carolina.

He was a very solid quarterback and an avid skydiver.

Unfortunately, the 35-year-old Rawls died in a skydiving accident on September 24, 2022 in Chester County, South Carolina.

The deadly accident was at 1:30 p.m. while Andrew was skydiving with the company Sky Dive Carolina.

They released this statement:

“Skydiving is a close-knit sport with a strong sense of camaraderie. Losing a member of our community affects everyone and we mourn the loss of a friend and fellow jumper. Our sincerest condolences go out to the jumper’s family.”

Please pray for the Rawls family during this tough time.
