Mac Jones was caught on film complaining about playcalling (VIRAL Video)
Mac Jones has been pedestrian this year, and the former Alabama gunslinger was caught last night by cameras screaming at his coaches.
The video is below, what does it look like he says?
It looks to me like he says Throw the F—ing ball, the run game sucks.
Jones said after the game he wanted to throw the ball deeper, and said the short game, but that was not what he said in the video. He clearly says the “RUN GAME” sucks. Imagine being a running back on that team, especially Rhamondre Stevenson who poured his heart out last night.
“We’re kind of playing from behind, and what I said was about throwing it deeper. The short game – I gotta execute that part better – but it’s the short game that we kept going to, which was working. But I felt like we needed chunk plays,” Jones said, via WEEI. “I shouted that out to get everyone going. That’s emotional. That’s football. I’m passionate this game. Obviously, you don’t want to let your emotions get the best of you, but yeah, that’s pretty much it. It wasn’t directed at anybody. Just emotion coming out, and we needed a spark.”
Zach Wilson was benched in New York for saying he should not be held accountable for his poor play, and he may not win his job back. Mac Jones however has been outplayed by Bailey Zappe and now if I was a running back I would let his ass get hit. If you feel we suck then do it yourself.
