What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I’d say the competition and how fun it was when I joined at the age 6-7 going straight into contact, and at the time I knew that’s what I wanted to do. Especially looking up to Andre Johnson as well.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I’m looking forward to having a great pro day and getting a chance at the next level.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

DeAndre Hopkins, met him before and he seems laid back. I feel like I could learn a lot from him for sure.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Scoring my first touchdown on varsity in high school. Transitioning over to DB in college and earning first team All-Wac this past season.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mom, having to watch her grind all my life and not give up.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

3-4. You have an extra skilled player on the field that can play in the box and that can cover.

What should we know about Donovan Banks the person?

I’m a hard worker, if I want to achieve something I’m gonna go after it. Always uplifting and you’ll never see me down. Respectable and mainly motivated.

What stands out about your film the most?

My speed and the plays I make.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I just trust God and control what I can control.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Consistency and leadership.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

How much it can change your life and the competitive nature that it brings to you.

How are you planning to prepare for the draft?

Lots of training and getting my body to where I feel it needs to be in order to catch the eye of a scout. Also, work on my 40 so I can get a 4.3.
