Top NCAA FCS Football Matchups of Week 4

South Dakota State University at Missouri State University 

This has the potential to be one of the most intriguing FCS games of the year. Missouri State’s offense has junior wide receiver Ty Scott who has 256 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns this season. Defensively for the Jackrabbits junior linebacker Adam Bock had 26 tackles and 1 forced fumble in the first 3 games. South Dakota State’s offense has junior running back Isaiah Davis who has 236 rushing yards this season. Defensively for the Bears they have senior defensive lineman Kevin Ellis who has 16 tackles, and 2.5 TFLs in 2022.

Montana State University at Eastern Washington University 

A really good Big Sky matchup here. The Eagles offense has redshirt junior Freddie Roberson who has 124 receiving yards and 1 touchdown this season. Defensively for Montana State they have Ty Okada who is from Woodbury, MN who has 14 tackles and 2 PBUs in 2022. The Bobcats offense has Ravi Alston who has 161 receiving yards and 1 touchdown this season. Defensively for Eastern Washington they have redshirt senior Mitchell Johnson who had 12 tackles and 2 sacks in the first 2 games. 

Eastern Kentucky University at Austin Peay State University 

The Colonels meet the Governors in this one. Austin Peay’s offense has sophomore wide receiver Drae McCray who has 362 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns in 2022. Defensively for the Colonels they have senior defensive lineman TK McClendon Jr who has 14 tackles, 4.5 TFLs and 3 sacks this season. Eastern Kentucky’s offense is led by redshirt junior quarterback Parker McKinney who has 1,027 passing yards and 10 touchdown passes in 2022. Defensively for the Governors they have grad defensive back Kam Ruffin who has 15 tackles, 3 PBUs and 2.5 TFLs this season.

Weber State University at UC Davis 

Another really intriguing Big Sky matchup. UC Davis’s offense has senior running back Ulonzo Gilliam Jr who has 254 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns this season. Defensively for the Wildcats they have junior defensive back Maxwell Anderson who had 6 tackles and 4 interceptions in the first 3 games. Senior wide receiver Ty MacPherson has 243 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns for Weber State this season. Defensively for the Aggies they have redshirt freshman defensive back Rex Connors who has 28 tackles and 2 interceptions in 2022.

Western Carolina University at Samford University 

I think that this could be a sneaky FCS matchup in week 4. Samford’s offense has grad wide receiver Kendall Watson who has 227 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns this season. Defensively for the Catamounts they have sophomore defensive back Andreas Keaton who had 17 tackles and 2 PBUs in the first 3 games. The Western Carolina offense has freshman running back Desmond Reid who has 291 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns this season. Defensively for the Bulldogs they have grad linebacker Nathan East who has 14 tackles, 2 TFLs and 1 interception in 2022.
