Super Bowl 2023 Contenders

The NFL has already announced that the 2023 Super Bowl will be played in Arizona. The chance of the home team, the Cardinals, actually winning the big game is slim, but we still have a few months to speculate on what teams will be competing for that title.

There’s no better way to figure out who might win it all than by looking at history, current players, and stats. Here are the teams that we think could win it all in 2023, based on the NFL roster.

1. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are a strong team. They have a good coach, with Lamar Jackson at quarterback, and some solid wide receivers and excellent running backs to work alongside.

However, it has been nearly 10 years since the team last won a Super Bowl, so could they bring it back in 2023? We’ll have to wait to find out.

2. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are a young team with a good coach. They have a good offense and a good defense, as well as a talented quarterback in Josh Allen, who led the Bills to their first-ever division title a few seasons ago, in 2020.

As long as he stays healthy throughout next season, we expect great things from Josh Allen going into 2022-23. It’s perhaps because of this star player that the Bills are currently hot favorites to win the Super Bowl title, at odds of 6-1.

3. Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are another strong contender to win Super Bowl 2023. They have a great QB in Dak Prescott, who is arguably the best player on the team. Their running back, Ezekiel Elliott, is also very good and will likely be able to keep his streak of yards per carry above 5 uninterrupted this season.

They have two great wide receivers in CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup, who can make big plays at any time during games and help move the ball downfield quickly when needed. On defense, they have some great players too, and their head coach Mike McCarthy recently took a yearlong hiatus to learn more about analytics and strategy.

The Cowboys are joint-second in terms of the most Super Bowl appearances, so can they move up the rankings this year? Only time will tell.

The 49ers have the makings of a good team and are currently at odds of 16-1 to bring the Vince Lombardi Trophy home to San Francisco. Their quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has been playing well and looks to be the long-term solution for the team. The 49ers also have some good running backs, a solid defense, and one of the best offensive lines in the league.

They are currently joint second in terms of Super Bowl wins with 5 victories, behind only the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots, with 6 apiece. Will the 2023 running of the event be enough to see the team become joint-first? We can’t wait to find out!

5. Green Bay Packers

The Packers are one of the top five favorites to win the Super Bowl 2023. The team has been performing well over the last couple of years under the guidance of head coach Matt LaFleur. Aaron Rodgers is still at his best and has a great supporting cast around him, including running back Aaron Jones, cornerback Jaire Alexander, and tight end Josiah Deguara.

The Packers have won a total of 4 Super Bowl titles. The last was back in 2010, so perhaps this means it’s time for a revival. While it might have been a while since the team won the Super Bowl, they still hold the record for the most League Championship titles in NFL history – a very impressive 13 in total. Could 2023 be the Packers’ year? We’ll soon find out.
