NFL Draft Diamonds Free Agent Spotlight Interview: Marcus Wilson, Running Back

Hello, Justin from Draft Diamonds (@jrberendzen on Twitter) with another one of my free agent spotlight interviews this time showcasing Marcus Wilson RB/FB. So on our journey to get to know Marcus first we have to know where he fits in on an NFL team because obviously that is the ultimate goal and he said

“I believe not only do I have the ability to adapt and learn quickly but I also move at full speed with disciplined movement in relation to the field. With that being said I believe I would give coaches many options with a versatile player like myself.”

Then everyone faces adversity but it’s how you get through it so I asked him the biggest challenges he has faced and how he got through them and he said,

“One of the biggest challenges I have ever faced is this process as a free agent. Playing at Division 2 and Division 3 levels, I’m already put at a disadvantage for the professional level but I’m here to prove the doubters wrong. Each day I give it my absolute best to achieve my goals in all aspects. Without God, I would not be where I am today and so with patience and faith is how I get through every challenge I face.”

Now lastly everyone has a life outside of football so here we get to know Marcus more because I asked him what we should know about him as a person and he said,

“I would say that I’m the type of person that once I have my mind set on a goal I will not stop until that goal is reached. I believe that I am a humble, family-oriented, and caring individual. I love motivating others and bringing the best out of them.”
