What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

It’s a funny story because I never wanted to be a football player. Growing up I played soccer and basketball. I started playing football because all my friends used to play, I never stopped since.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

I’m gonna have to say winning the conference championship at Navarro College my second season.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

I’m really inspired by both of my parents. I definitely wouldn’t be where I am now if it wasn’t for their sacrifices.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Ray Lewis because he’s the greatest and he actually was considered as an undersized linebacker in college. And Luke Kuechly because he was one of the smartest and most prepared in the game.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I always try not to get too high or too low. I’m more of a calm and composed type of a player. My biggest thing is to stay positive no matter the situation.

What should we know about Abraham Beauplan the person?

I believe that I’m a very disciplined individual like I don’t need someone to push me in order to do what I need to do. I’m my biggest critic when it comes to football. I believe that every day is an opportunity to improve.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Marshall?

Favorite thing about playing for Marshall is the fans. Football is not just football, it means so much to the community. And we’re surrounded with people to not only help us grow as football players but as individuals.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

When it comes to defensive schemes, I try not to limit myself. I like doing a little bit of everything because I see myself as a versatile player. If I have to choose, I would say a 4-2, 4-3 defense because it allows us to line up in odd allowing the D-line to control their gaps, also creating better blitzing angles.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I see challenges as opportunities to get stronger as a person whether it’s football or life. I look at other people and noticed what they went through and they didn’t give up. That allows me to do the same and stay composed about whatever it is.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A player who’s willing to learn, coachable, and a hard worker.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

Looking forward to having a successful season with my herd brothers. I will definitely enjoy every moment and games that I get to out there with them this season.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

J’coryan Anderson, I think he’s a guy with a lot of potential. He’s able to play different positions on the field, and one of his biggest asset is his size and speed. I believe he’s going to surprise a lot of people.
