What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I’ve been playing football since 5 years old but my dad got me started in it and I’ve loved it ever since and love being around the guys and the atmosphere.

What sets you apart from other defensive linemen?

I’m a veteran playing in my 6th year. I’ve played in alot of games, I’m 6′ 7″ 300 plus pounds and not many people have that size and I have a good knowledge of the game not many guys know where a play is going before it happens.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I bring the juice, I like getting everybody hyped up and making plays and celebrating with my teammates.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Ray Lewis, because he is my favorite player. I love his backstory and the way he studies the game and played and the way he watches film is incredible.

How do you prepare for games?

I have a football playlist that I make for every football season and it gets my mind right. Before the game I go a lap around the field, I stretch by myself and then go back into the locker room and visualize myself making plays and go out there and take it play by play.

What should we know about Mason Cholewa the person?

I’m hardworking, I’m coachable and I’m always on time in everything I do and I’m a quick learner.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moments are my first offer I got my junior year of high school from Syracuse and my first college sack.

What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?

I would say being a good teammate, doing your job and being coachable.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I would just say in football and in life you have good and bad days. You figure it out and move on.

What would a team get in a player like you?

They are going to get a hard worker, coachable, a good teammate and a player going to give 110 percent in anything that they do.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

It’s going to be my last year playing college football. I’m going to make the most out of every practice, rep and game. I recently transferred to Towson and I see good things in this team and coaching staff and I feel like we have a good opportunity to get a ring thus year.

Dependable, hardworking, loyal, self disciplined and coachable.
