What sets you apart from other defensive backs?

I have a dog mentality and I am very competitive. My competitiveness and confidence in myself sets me apart from other prospects. I also have a lot of confidence in my football IQ.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I bring a very high energy onto the field. I’m a leader on the field also. When things get rough out there I calm everyone down and let them know to refocus and lock in.

What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

When I was 10 years old I went to watch my little cousin play his little league game. Ever since then I loved football.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I’d hang out with Primetime, because I’d like to pick his brain and learn from him.

What is your favorite coverage and why?

My favorite coverage is man coverage. I say this because I know whoever’s in front of me won’t beat me.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

One of my favorite moments is when me and my uncle would throw the football in the front yard for hours when I was younger. Another favorite moment is playing Kentucky Wesleyan University when I recorded 3 interceptions. Also winning two GMAC championships when I attended Tiffin University.

What should we know about Kevin Hyde the person?

I am a great leader and very passionate about everything I do.

How do you prepare for games?

Usually watch some film. Study opponents plays and tendencies. Practice is a big part of my preparation.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I handle challenges well. I’m a realist so I’m prepared to handle with any and all challenges.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A leader and a guy that loves football.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I’m looking forward to competing for a championship.
