What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

My love for the game ultimately confirmed that I wanted to become a professional football player at an early age. I’ve used the sport of football not only as an hobby but as a guidance for life. Everything you experience playing football prepares you for life’s biggest adversities and challenges.

Who is the most underrated teammate you’ve played with and why?

Elijah Bell, Ended his career as perhaps the best receiver in school history. Owns the school record in receptions (202), receiving yards (2,980) and receiving touchdowns (33). Also owns the school record for touchdown receptions in a season with 11 Bell finished his career fifth all-time on the MEAC receiving yards list. He is only one of five receivers in MEAC history with 200-plus career receptions. Finished fourth on the MEAC’s all-time touchdown receptions list. He has linebacker size, wide receiver speed and a running back mentality. Definitely a guy that needs to be signed to a NFL roster.

What sets you apart from other offensive linemen?

The key attributes that set me apart from other offensive lineman from an intangible perspective would be my mental toughness and my ability to adapt in uncomfortable situations. I’m also highly intelligent and constantly trying to find ways to increase my football IQ. If we’re speaking from a tangible prospective I would say my strength and technique is what separates me from the pack. I can play all 3 interior position and out muscle guys that are typically larger than me. I’ve experienced great coaching from guys like Ron Mattes, Rod Broadway and Sam Washington who are all respected coaches on both the collegiate and NFL level.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moments from my football life would be winning 2 state titles in high school at James B. Dudley and winning 3 straight Celebration Bowl championships while playing at NCAT.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Lecharles Bentley, simply because he’s a H.O.F. caliber center and I would want to pick his brain about how he developed his entrepreneurial skills.

What should we know about Dacquari Wilson the person?

I’m the hardest working individual you will ever come across and that my purpose in life is to educate, motivate, and inspire others to live a life of freedom and ultimate abundance.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I’m looking forward to winning another championship and achieving my dreams of becoming a NFL athlete.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

If I had to choose it would be the Zone scheme, particularly the Outside Zone. It gives me the ability to showcase my athleticism and out run guys.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I view every challenge in my life as another opportunity for growth. I’m a firm believer that adversity builds character and in order to grow through it you have to go through it.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team would get a person who’s a leader on and off the field. Also they would be getting a person who’s passionate about football and loves the process.

How do you prepare for games?

I typically listen to a hour of positivity before a game and envision perfect plays in my head. All the preparation is done days before the game , such as film breakdowns, getting an idea of what I’m going to expect from my opponent. A few questions that I like to answer from film breakdown typically include: 1. What types of fronts do my opponents like to give in certain situations? 2. What type of blitzes/ games am I expecting to see this week? 3. What are my defender’s favorite techniques? 4. What are my defender’s weaknesses?

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I bring a soldier’s energy when I step onto the field. Nothing will get in my way and I won’t stop until the mission is complete.
