What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2023 NFL Draft?

My knowledge of the game and body length make me a top prospect at the LB position. I like to think of myself as a student of the game. I like to study film, which allows me to play faster, and I also believe my quickness, violence, and sideline-to-sideline speed make me a top LB.

At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?

I was first interested in the sport of football at around 4 years old. My dad played football and is a football coach. He introduced me to the game, and I started playing at the age of 6.

What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?

One thing NFL teams should know about me is I love the game of football and I am a competitor. I like to compete in everything I do, and I am willing to do anything to make a team successful. 

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?

If I could donate to one cause in the world it would be autism. A couple of my close family friends have autism, so that is the cause I would donate to if I could. 

What is the best advice you have ever received?

The best advice I have ever received is from my parents. They told me to be yourself, don’t try to be anyone else, there is only 1 of you in the world.

Who was your childhood hero?

Both my mom and dad were my childhood heroes. They raised me to be a kind person to everyone and supported me in everything I have done in my life, and they were the ones who introduced me to athletics.

Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school?

There are a lot of people on my team that I believe is underrated. A few of them are Isaac Erbes, Myles Harden, Josiah Ganues, Alex Jensen, and Travis Theis. I don’t think that there is a singular player that I could pick out because a lot of them are great people and football players. 

What is your biggest pet peeve?

My biggest pet peeve is seeing young kids always using technology and not playing outside.  

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

I have overcome some small things throughout my life, but not many big ones. One of the hardest moments I have had to overcome in life was when my grandpa passed away. He had lived with my family and I since I was born and supported me in school and sports. He always gave us rides to events if my parents were busy or with another sibling. He was another person I looked up to when I was growing up.

Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?

The University of South Dakota is a very special place to me. I love the small-town feel and the ability to know a lot of athletes and students. It is a very special place to me because they gave me an opportunity to continue playing football while still getting an education.

What is your favorite snack food?

My favorite snack food is red pepper humus with crackers.

What is the best part of football?

The best part about football for me is the moment of silence I find before everyone plays no matter how large or loud the crowd is, and the competition and effort you have to put in every day.

If you could sell yourself in one sentence, what would you say?

If I could sell myself in one sentence it would be, I am a loving, kind person that prioritizes integrity, competitiveness, and family. 

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL, who would it be?

Every player brings different assets to each team, but someone I loved to watch as Luke Kuechly. He was a student of the game and brought that knowledge to his team on the field and was a great leader. 

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

If I could have dinner with three people dead or alive, it would be my grandpa, grandma, and Adam Sandler. I would eat dinner with my grandma because I was never able to meet her, so I would want to just talk with her. I would eat with my grandpa just to say hi and play some cards with him one last time and I chose Adam Sandler because he is one of my favorite comedy actors.
