What makes you a top prospect at your position  in the 2023 NFL Draft

I’m at top prospect for many reasons, I’m fearless and have that dog mentality! Also my versatility in which i’ve played every position on the defensive side beside d line. I love to compete so everyday i’m looking to get better and push myself to be great, i’m also a fast learner and can adapt very quick to any situation. I’m also willing to bet on myself in any situation and against anybody!

At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?

I would say around 6th grade because that’s the first year i started playing football and i’ve been in love ever since.

What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?

My passion, hard work, and my mindset to come to work everyday and work to be the best i can on and off the field!

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?

I would donate to help all the foster kids, because i was adopted at 3 months old and i know the pain and daily struggles and battles they have from experience to not have either of your parents in your life.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

“When you pray for rain, you still gotta deal with the mud”. This is relatable to all aspects of life. When you pray for something you want you still have to deal with the struggles and the hard word that comes with that. Anything worth while doesn’t come easy!

Who was your childhood hero?

My childhood hero would be my grandmother Lucy Luper, who adopted me. I always thought the world of her and i’m forever grateful for her taking me in and raising me like her own and doing more than enough to help raise me right! I hope to buy her a house one day.

Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school?

Definitely Rashaun Williams, Hands down one of the most athletic and naturally gifted d lineman I’ve seen.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

My pet peeve would negativity and wasted time. I’m looking to get better everyday and be productive in whatever i’m doing with a positive mindset. There is no time to be wasted when your wanting to achieve your dreams and aspirations. Nothing good comes from negativity, “Misery loves company” so i tried a keep all the negative vibes out of the way.

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

Sitting out for 2 years after tearing both my ACLs in back to back years before playing my first college game. Tore my first in spring ball after my redshirt year, then tore my second in fall camp a week before the first game.  So i had to completely start over and come from the bottom. Everybody counted me out, but i worked and pushed myself everyday dreaming to get back to football and when i did, my first season back i had one of the best seasons all time as a defensive player at my juco. I finished with 101 Tackles, 4 Ints, & 3 FF. That shows how much football means to me and just never giving up.

Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?

New Mexico Highlands in special to me because they gave me a second chance to do what i love and enjoy doing it.

What is your favorite snack food?

Definitely cereal

What is the best part of football?

The best part of football of football to me is getting to compete everyday you step on the field because football is not guaranteed because we all have to hang those cleats up one day.

If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say?

Brendon Luper is a jack of all trades, that is coachable, disciplined, eager to get better everyday and has that mindset you cannot teach

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be?

I would compare myself to Tyrann Mathieu because his mentality and you will always find him around the ball and making plays all over the field!

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

Ray Lewis, Lebron James, and Sean Taylor. I chose these people because they all have different mindset and way of thinking than the average person. I would love to sit down and just have conversations with them all and take what i can from them!
