What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

Is the type that my teammates know I’m going in to get the job done and the team rallies behind that on the practice field and in games.

What sets you apart from other defensive linemen?

My ability to mix speed, power and finesse moves. Most defensive linemen aren’t good at all that and I can also drop in coverage.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Being the first UAlbany team to make it to playoffs and get past first round was a monumental moment.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

When hybrid linebackers play on edge and have the ability to pass rush, play the run and drop in coverage.

What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

When I was younger I was into basketball at first but how my body was developing it was more as a football player and I kept playing youth football and then in high school I played both football and basketball but that’s when I decided that football was my future.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who?

I would say probably Von Miller.

What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?

Mental toughness, preparation, film study and making sure you are ready for anything the opponent throws at you like as a defensive lineman different types of splits, blocking schemes and running back alignments. So make sure you scouted your opponent.

What should we know about Anthony Lang the person?

I’m always looking to get things done whether it’s in my personal life, football field or family if there’s a problem I’m looking to fix it as soon as possible.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

At first you have to critique what would fix the problem and go step by step to fix the problem and then attack the problem at hand and use your resources.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Someone that comes in day in and day out setting an example of how things can be done at a high level.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

As a team standpoint I’m looking to win the CAA or get at least top 3 and get in playoffs. Personally break the sack record at my school this season along with being nominated as an All American 1st to 3rd team.

If there was a billboard with 5 of your traits on it which 5 traits would be up there?

Personality, my work ethic, ability to lead, attention to detail, and ability to relate to anybody no matter the situation.
