What made you decide you you to be a football player?

It wasn’t much to do in my neighborhood, so my dad signed me up for football. I ended up loving it!

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

2005 playing in the Snooper bowl against Snoop Dog’s team and catching a Pick 6 in high school at Cass tech and my bounce back season this past year after all the adversity.

What sets you apart from other defensive linemen?

I have heart and I love the game.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I’m calm, supportive but goes 100 miles per hour on the field all the time.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Myles Garrett just to learn the game from him and what strategies he does with offense lineman.

How do you prepare for games?

Say my prayers, call my mom, and listen to my music.

What should we know about Alonzo Grigsby the person?

I love my family a lot and I go hard for them. I always been a leader and always up for any challenges.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

My favorite defense of scheme is a base 4-3 because I get a lot of one on one’s and a base 3-4 because I can slide to the outside linebacker and cover.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I take a deep breath, and think before I react no matter what.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Hardworker, a person that’s team first that want the team to win, and coachable.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

To build on the previous season, and to get better as a player. And win.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Jalen Broussard! The things I’ve seen him do in practice and in our games, I feel his time is coming SOON!
