I have plenty of great moments from my football life! I enjoy grinding with my teammates, during that process of all the hard work you build so many bonds and life long relationships. Those moments of blood sweat and tears are just moments you have to love as a ball player.

What sets you apart from other edge rushers?

I feel like I have an advantage playing edge rusher because I can also drop into coverage and feel comfortable. I’ve played just about every position on the field throughout some point during my football life. That helps me understand the whole defense and not just my job.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I have a high motor on the field! I just enjoy being on the field. I lead by example on and off the field. I’m sure my teammates would say the same.

Which teammates goes up against you the hardest in practice?

Landon Beebee OL, Ron Tiavaasue TE and Jacardia Wright RB.

How do you prepare for games?

I watch film and study my opponent I try to know every little detail about my opponent.

What should we know about Kevin Ellis the person?

I am ambitious and hard working. I challenge myself constantly to be a better player, teammate, and person everyday. I’m not comfortable with going half speed, I go 100% at all times.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

I like playing in a 4-3 defense as the rush. Sometimes I will be included in the rush or I might have to drop to the hook curl or to the flat. Maybe even man on the RB or TE. I feel very comfortable doing anyone of those things.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Lawrence Taylor because he’s one of the greatest to ever do it.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I take all of my challenges head on, on and off the field.

What would a team get in a player like you?

They would get a vocal leader and also someone who leads by example.

What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I’ve been playing football since I was 5 years old literally. I told my grandma I was going to be a NFL star before I ever knew what football was.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I’m looking forward to winning a National Championship! That’s the only thing I care about this upcoming season.
