Former UAB football player sentenced to LIFE in prison for killing a female nursing student

LIFE in prison over a pair of headphones. This was a horrible decision and it will cost Carlos Stephens the rest of his natural life.
On April 12, Stephens was found guilty of capital murder in the death of Destiny Washington, a 20-year-old student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Today he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The former Freshman football player at UAB shot a female nursing student who was selling a pair of Airpods that have a value of 90 dollars. This happened outside the UAB University Center.
The former football player claims he was doing it in self-defense when the young ladies boyfriend pulled a gun. There was no proof of this and today Stephens was sentenced to Life.
