What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2023 NFL Draft? 

I play with a nonstop motor and am a student of the game, I won’t allow my opponent has an edge on me because of a lack of effort or preparation.

At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?

I’ve been interested in football for as long as I can remember, from going to tailgates at Bakersfield College and playing with my brothers and cousins in the backyard at a young age.

What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?

I play with an edge and attitude while also remaining technically sound and that separates me from the everyday player. I play all 5 spots on the offensive line and take pride in being a jack of all trades and a force in the trenches.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be? 

The Cerebral Palsy Foundation, because my youngest brother Deagon has cerebral palsy (CP), and I would like more research and funding to accommodate people affected by CP to be able to live more inclusive lifestyles like my parents have for my brother.

What is the best advice you have ever received? 

“Don’t ever stop learning and growing as a person.” And also, “you get back what you put in.”

Who was your childhood hero?

My dad, I have worn the number 70 my whole life because that is the the number he wore when he played, and he saves lives and helps people for the greater good while sacrificing his own life everyday being a firefighter.

Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school? 

This is a tough one, but Jaevon Gillespie because he is a more quiet leader who shows up every day and leads by example. 

What is your biggest pet peeve? 

People who make excuses and are lazy and say they have it rough and the world is out to get them frustrate me because there are lots of bad things that happen every day to people in situations far worse that the one they are in.

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

When my grandma died it was rough because she was the loudest one in the stands and was somehow at each of us 17 grandchildren’s events whether it be football, baseball, basketball, wrestling, or plays, she was there cheering us on.

Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?

UVA-Wise is special to me because they are one of the first schools that not only offered me, but Coach Damron flew out to California to meet with me at a Dunkin Donuts and just really showed an interest in me as not only a player, but as a person in general. Also, being coached by a former All-American at WVU and two time super bowl winning offensive lineman Coach Mike Compton and the wisdom, technique, and knowledge he has bestowed upon me is super special and rewarding.

What is your favorite snack food? 

Oranges and Chicken in a biscuit crackers.

What is the best part of football? 

Being able to be physical and not get in trouble for it, all while sharing a brotherhood and family bond unlike any other and trying to accomplish a common goal, and having each other’s back not allowing anyone of your brothers or family to be messed with.

If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say? 

I attack every obstacle and task with 110% effort and won’t be outworked.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be? 

A mix of Elgton Jenkins and Ryan Jensen. Elgton Jenkins because of his ability to play every spot on the offensive line, and Ryan Jensen for the nastiness and protectiveness towards his family on the field.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why? 

Brian Urlacher because he was my favorite player growing up. Robin Williams for his comedic ability and entertainment. Bruce Matthews for his knowledge and ability to play every spot on the offensive line at the highest/best level.
