Sacred Heart college football commit Cy Menard killed in a car accident

The 19-year-old football player Cy Menard, who graduated from St. Joseph’s Regional High School, died when he was ejected in a crash with a tractor-trailer. Menard was a massive young man who had the ambition to one day play in the NFL.

After graduating from St. Joe’s, Cy went on to play football for the St. Thomas More School a college prep school in Connecticut, where he did well.

Just two weeks ago, Cy announced he’d committed to playing for Sacred Heart University. Menard was a defensive tackle that was a very solid player.

Cyrenius Menard was 6’1 and weighed almost 300 pounds. NFL Draft Diamonds sends their condolences. Please keep the Menard family in your prayers and please take a second to watch the film of the young man! He had a bright future, may he rest in peace.
