State of Pennsylvania seeking the death penalty on man that killed former NFL football player’s pregnant daughter
The State of Pennsylvania will seek the death penalty against a man accused of killing former NFL football player Brandon Short’s pregnant daughter back in September 2021.
Isaac Smith is facing the death penalty for shooting Karli Short who was 17 weeks pregnant with Smith’s child.
Smith shot Karli in the head and killed her.
Smith’s attorneys are claiming that Smith had no motive to Karli. Part of the district attorney’s reasoning for seeking the death penalty was that Smith knew Ms. Short was pregnant prior to her death, according to the statement.
Smith told police that she was pregnant with his child.
